Displaying and protecting your model cars
A little care keeps a collection in good shape.
Keep them out of direct sunlight
Strong sunlight can fade paint and discolour plastic and boxes. Put shelves away from windows, or use a case.
Use a closed case
Glass or acrylic cases keep dust off. Dust can be brushed away with a soft, clean brush.
Avoid damp and extreme heat
Humidity can damage boxes and metal parts. Avoid attics, garages and bathrooms.
Handle with care
Hold models by the body and not by mirrors or spoilers. Clean, dry hands help protect the finish.
Keep the boxes
If you have space, store the original boxes. They help a model keep its value if you ever sell it.
